CES 2009: Synaptics Touch Gestures on Video

Warner Crocker —  01/07/2009

synapticslogoWith the help of Robin from Synaptics we got a quick demo of the new gestures that Synaptics is offering with their drivers for track pads. Aside from getting used to the new camera (apologies for almost swallowing it a couple of times) Robin gives us a good look at these touch options. We’ve been following Synaptics work for some time, and I find it intriguing that we’re seeing more and more innovation with touch away from the screen. Catch the video after the jump.

Will these new functionalities work on older touchpads with a simple driver update or are there some requirements at the hardware level?
