— InPlay Technologies (NASDAQ: NPLA) today announced that its unique digital pen and touch interface solution has been selected for Panasonic’s Toughbook ® CF-H1, the first fully-rugged mobile clinical assistant (MCA).

The Toughbook CF-H1 features InPlay’s battery-free, digital pen, combined with a 10.4” touchscreen, allowing users to choose the most natural and effective input method. The system has undergone rigorous testing to ensure reliable, high-quality performance.

An innovative design based on Panasonic’s own industry research and Intel ®’s mobile clinical assistant reference design, the Toughbook CF-H1 is designed to improve workflow for doctors and nurses. InPlay’s dual pen-and-touch solution provides an easy, intuitive interface allowing healthcare professionals to access patient records at the point of care, and document a patient’s condition in real time.
