Weekend Plans for the Mobile Warriors?

It has been a while since we’ve had a Weekend Discussion. I’m curious as to what the weekend holds in store for the mobile warrior readers of GottaBeMobile.com?

My plans include giving the HP Mini 1000 Mi to my kids and wife to use, and see what they think of this “consumer focused” netbook. Will they take to it like HP is hoping? What will they think of the interface and experience? We’ll be making our way to Denver to check out a wild bird sanctuary, so the trip over might provide for some good testing: taking pictures, moving them over, posting pictures to facebook, etc. I’ll also be doing a lot of programming over the weekend, too, so I’ll be plugging away on my newly updated Dell Latitude XT, hacking away at ColdFusion and SQL Server code. By the way, I just heard that Dell.com just posted XT2 drivers, and the XT2 N-Trig drivers are newer than the XT version…might be some play time in there, too….

Sunday, though, will be a much needed day of rest.

    Well, went for a refurb Macbook Pro Unibody this week as much as I love the NC10, since selling my Tosh M700 missing a bit of power on the road sometimes. Got it working great with Windows 7 beta on bootcamp but not on parallels. So, when the rest of the family is out tomorrow going to spend some time on that.

    Friends with young family coming over on Sunday so should get some good HD footage and pics to try out on iPhoto and iMovie

    Heading to New York City as we have two of our dogs entered in the Westminster Kennel Club show. Last year, our dog took Best of Breed breeder/owner handled by me. The hotel where we will be staying only offers dialup so I don’t expect to be spending any time online there. However, I do need to monitor an online training on Tuesday morning, so my plan is to head to the Apple store with my MacBook to take part. I will have my iPhone and expect to rely heavily on that from Madison Square Garden.

    I’m half-way through leading achurch in a revitalization retreat (4 of 6). I use my trusty HP TC1100, added and abedded by my MacBook. Finished tomorrow at noon, then it’s home for the rest of the weekend!

    Headed out to San Diego and taking my MSI Wind with Win 7 & Leopard OS X. Will be finishing up some work stuff on the road; have my Storm as BT DUN to both Win 7 & Leopard so which ever OS I’m in I can email my work.
