Google Chrome Has a New Beta

Warner Crocker —  03/18/2009

googlechrome (2) Google took its Chrome browser out of Beta last year and now it is back. Apparently the improvements in the new Beta are on the speed front with Google touting that this version is now 25% faster. That would be impressive as Google Chrome was already quite fast.

There are also new features including form autofill, full page zoom, and autoscroll. There’s also a new way to drag tabs out to get a side by side view. I haven’t tired the new version out yet, so if you have, report in as to what you’re seeing.

One response to Google Chrome Has a New Beta

  1. Fairly stable, haven’t yet have a single crash on my box. Windows are properly maximized with or without auto-hide Taskbar, and after rotations. Tablet support is still mediocre at best.

BTW Warner there’s a typo in your post (“tried” instead of “tired”).

    Cheers.
