Artist Uses iPhone to Fingerpaint The New Yorker Cover

Jorge Colombo used his iPhone to fingerpaint the cover of The New Yorker. It’s pretty darn impressive that a $4.99 app can help create such a high quality image.

The application he used is called Brushes. The above screen recording was generated using a free companion application for Macs called Brushes Viewer. This application allows you to export high-definition versions of your paintings and Quicktime recordings.

    I dunno, Xavier, I think a good artist can make use of any medium they desire to accomplish their work. I think the talent is more in the artist than the toolset.

    I agree with you GoodThings2Life. The reason I found this interesting is because a lot of artists rely on really expensive tools.
    My grandmother became famous for making sculptures out of wire from a hardware store.
