New 15″ Macbook Pro with Li-polymer batery with up to 7 hour battery life. Also has 3x the number of recharge cycles -over 1000 recharges. Also replaces the ExperssCard slot with an SD card slot. Up to 3.06 Ghz and up to 8Gb of memory and 500 gb hard drive. Prices start at $1699.

The 17″ Macbook is dropping in price by $300.

The 13″ Macbook gets a new battery with up to 7 hours. Also getting an SD card slot. All in the same form factor. Up to 8gb memory and 500 gb hard drive. Led backlit keyboard. Adds Firewire 800. And now it’s officially a Macbook pro. Starts at $1199! Wow I’m impressed.

Macbook Air gets an update too and a drop in price. The 128 gb SSD version drops in price $700. That’s attractive.

Snow Leopard, when installed, uses up to 6Gb LESS hard drive space than Leopard does. Includes finger drawing / text input via the touchpad.

Today shipping Safari 4.0 for Mac and Windows. Claims 7.8x faster than Internet Explorer 8.

Microsoft Exchange integration is finally included with Snow Leopard. Being added to the included Mail application, iCal, and Address Book. Also finally includes the ability to schedule meetings with awareness of attendee and room availability. Worth noting – this is built into Snow Leopard and does not require buying another app suite, like say Office.

Snow Leopard will work on all Intel based Macs and will only cost $29 to upgrade for all Leopard users. Available in September.

    Great…Apple notebooks get less mobile w/lack of ExpressCard slots and non-removable battery.

    Nice product but still too expensive. Sorry Apple; I love you but you are unattainable for me.

    I love the product, I love the operating system. I wish all laptops had a 7 hour battery life. But I just can’t get myself to shell out so much money for a laptop.

    I can dream though.
