The CrunchPad Saga Adventure Continues To Fascinate

crunchpad-near-final-designWell, well, well. It looks like an interesting story just got more interesting. Chandra Rathakrishnan the CEO of Fusion Garage, the company making the Crunchpad is going to unveil it in front of reporters on Monday. He’s also going to tell his side of the story of how the TechCrunch/Fusion Garage divorce happened. Certainly this will be worth watching. At least it sounds like we might see the final (or close to final) device.

    I’ve been waiting to hear both sides before passing judgment on the whole debacle, but before we hear it, I’ll go on record and say when I strip out the emotion and analyze the events in his account, Mike Arrington’s story actually paints himself in a bad light. If Fusion Garage sticks with logic and confirms the facts, they can turn this around.

    I certainly thought the Crunchpad RIP articles were premature for a device so advanced in its design process, I actually expected this when the original rift was reported, that we’d actually see Fusion Garage continue with the launch.

    If nothing else it has certainly drummed up extra publicity for the device! I wonder……no, surely not.
