apple_app_store_logo_300A few months ago, Apple launched its iTunes preview function.  The idea was to let people see what music is available on iTunes from their web browser without having to start up iTunes.  Its been fairly successful and made previewing and purchasing music easier in some cases.

So, in the next logical step, now Apple has extended that technology to the Apple App Store. As of today, when you click on a link to an Apple App, users will get a page with the app logo, price, description, screenshots, rating, reviews and more in a new window or tab.  It also will launch iTunes and take you to the application page for more details and a way to purchase the application.

These changes come in just in time for the possible “explosion” of new Apple App store users once the iPad comes out in April.
