Acer Aspire 1820PT pricing unofficially official

Word out of Engadget is the Acer Aspire Timeline 1820PT convertible tablet will be priced at 599 Euros. They’re guessing that means it’ll be priced at $599 in the States. Sounds about right, especially since one of our forum members, Elmstrom, already found it priced on Play.com for £599.99 recommended retail.

Still waiting on availability, not to mention official pricing, but $599 seems a pretty solid bet. Engadget has a short hands-on video of the tablet, but if you want real details, check out this review posted in the VR- Zone forum from a user called Denosha, again found by Elmstrom. Terrific info, particularly about the touchscreen, which appears to switch between capacitive for multi-touch and pressure-sensitive resistive for pen. I’d still prefer the control of an active digitizer, but  Denosha’s demo in Windows Journal looks really good. And one can hardly argue with the presumed price.
