Sprint Announces Refurb Phone Program

Published

on

Sprint announced a new refurbished phone program that’s worth a look if your phone’s on its last legs or you just want a new one without re-upping your wireless contract. To start, Sprint is offering three phones and is throwing a green spin on it.

One of the oldest tricks in the wireless carriers’ books is to entice customers to sign up for a new plan when their phones are lost or damaged. Sure, it’s always nice to get a new phone, but getting one at an inopportune time lock you into a new two year contract and put you and your family members on different upgrade cycles, which can lead to getting locked in indefinitely if those on your contract are keen new phones the minute they’re eligible.

Sprint is offering existing customers the BlackBerry Tour for $79.99 and the Sanyo 2700 and Samsung Reclaim for $49.99.  New customers can get each of these refurbished phones for $50 off.
