Acer to Launch Tablet Nov 22 Starting at $299

No surprise that Acer is trying to edge its way into the Tablet/Slate game. The only question was when. Well, that’s not the only question, but it is the only one answered today. Acer CEO Gianfranco Lanci is saying that November 22 is the launch date with prices between $299 to $699. The first question I’d ask any CEO launching a Tablet is what operating system? The Android that Google says isn’t meant for Tablets and Slates? Guess we’ll find out right before Turkey Day here in the US.

Bring back the Acer TravelMate C200 design! (Update the internals with more modern parts and possibly add capacitive multi-touch to the already existing Wacom pen digitizer, but everything else about it looks pretty solid. Too bad it’s based on the old Pentium M architecture.)
