Apple’s Black Friday Sale Starts Now in Some Locales, Deals Disappoint

While some manufacturers and retailers are knocking off big dollars for Black Friday, Apple’s offering just a few percentage points off its popular core products, including the iPad, iPod Touch and MacBook lineups. The first signs of Apple’s Black Friday sale is in Australia, where it’s already Black Friday, even though Aussies don’t celebrate turkey day.

If you’re already planning on buying an iDevice or MacBook from Apple this Black Friday the discounts are enough to cover a couple of accessories, but not much beyond that. We’ve seen much better deals and Apple authorized resellers, many of whom are offering both discounts and freebies with the purchase of a Mac or iPod Touch.

    yeah, these deals are really never that great, for someone in CA or other high tax states, it is usually better to get something from amazon or macmall, save money and tax and be ahead. The only time I have used the BF or temporal apple deals is for a BTO product which is normally just full priced. Might pickup another 13″ BTO MBA11 if the price is right for BTO

      Yes, good point. Too bad these MacBook deals weren’t % off rather than straight $ off. That would really help with some of Apple’s over-priced upgrade charges.

    Considering that all our prices include 10% tax, at least we’re getting closer to price equality with the US. And considering we don’t actually have thanksgiving…

    Plus there’s a few other places offering 10% off Apple products in the lead up to Christmas.
