Nokia handing out TWO smartphones to developers, E7 followed by WP7 device

In an email leaked to Slashgear, Nokia has announced that members of their Launchpad application development program will get an E7 smartphone. That’s right, you get an E7, you get an E7, everyone gets an E7! (And by “everyone” I mean, everyone who is a Launchpad member.) But wait, there’s more!

Stick with the program and you’ll also get a Nokia phone running Windows Phone 7! You get a Nokia Windows Phone 7 phone, you get a Nokia Windows Phone 7 phone, everyone gets a Nokia Windows Phone 7 phone! (And again, by “everyone” I mean, everyone who is a Launchpad member.)

The intent obviously is to keep their existing developers from jumping ship as the switch to Windows Phone approaches. Transparent? Perhaps. Demeaning? Maybe. But on the other side of the argument, you get TWO free smartphones, at least one of which has a 4″ AMOLED touch screen and 8 MP camera with HD recording. Plus, they’re offering “free tech support on all Nokia technologies for the next three months”. Blatant pandering or not, those are some pretty good reasons to stick around and (hopefully) give the new OS a fair shake.

Is it one per company, or per individual?
