Droid Incredible 2 Features and Specs Revealed
Last week, Verizon’s Droid Incredible 2 popped up over at Best Buy which seemed to be a signal that an announcement was imminent. An official unveiling hasn’t arrived yet but that hasn’t stopped the official features of the device from leaking out.
Droid-Life is reporting that a friend of theirs, @IRONMatt14, has found a boot animation within the Incredible 2’s system dump that essentially confirms every single big specification coming with the unannounced device.
Those familiar with the HTC Incredible S won’t be shocked by what’s in store, but those that travel or haven’t been following along should be pretty pleased.
The Droid Incredible 2 will be a device with global capabilities, a rumor that has been swirling around since the beginning of 2011. It will also come loaded with a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 which is the same processor as the HTC ThunderBolt, a 4-inch WVGA TFT display, 768MB RAM, an 8MP shooter with dual-Xenon flash, and a TI audio chip with surround sound.
The bootloader also confirms that this will, in fact, be a Droid branded device. Those interested in seeing the bootloader, in the flesh are in luck. Here it is displayed running on a Motorola Droid X:

Look for an official announcement from Verizon regarding the Droid Incredible 2 sometime in the very near future.
