Motion CL900 Tablet Drop Tested

Xavier Lanier —  05/12/2011

The Motion CL900 Tablet PC is now on sale and as we mentioned earlier, the device is rugged. Motion released a video today demonstrating its durability. The tablet was dropped from a height of 48″ onto plywood over concrete 26 times to live up to MIL-STD-810G specifications.

In the video you can see that the CL900 can survive drops onto any edge without damage. The display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass, a feature we’re seeing in more and more mobile devices.

THe Motion CL900 tablet runs Windows 7, which is a must-have for many companies in organization. As much as we like iPads, there isn’t always an iOS app available for field workers and tablet users that work on their feet.

The Motion CL900 is available for order from MotionComputing.com. We expect to have a review unit in house in June.

  2. I am really looking forward to your CL900 review.    The tablet is out, but I have not seen one real review yet!

I’m planning on the wifi version with 2gb ram and 62 SDD.     But, I want to see a real review first, not just
    company promo.
