Samsung has announced that it is postponing its press event that was supposed to take place on May 24th in New York City.
The company stated that the event has been “postponed until a later date” but didn’t offer any sort of explanation as to why. It’s also uncertain what the exact purpose of the event was, with speculation riding on some sort of U.S. Samsung Galaxy S II launch date announcement or details on carriers for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
This press event would be the second one this month with the company announcing the Samsung Infuse 4G at a similar event earlier this month.
It’s believed that the Samsung Galaxy S II will be coming to AT&T, Sprint and Verizon under the names Galaxy S II Attain, Galaxy S II Within and the Galaxy S II Function respectively. Last week, Samsung announced that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 would arrive on June 8th.
