Flight of Angry Birds on Windows Phone 7 Delay

The estimated arrival time of Rovio’s popular Angry Birds title for Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 platform is now delayed. Both companies say that the new launch date for the flight of Angry Birds will now by June 29th, not the anticipated March 25th launch date.

Microsoft says the delay is to accommodate a better customer experience. A spokesperson said, “The shift in timing of “Angry Birds” as the final title in the Must Have Games lineup was a decision made to ensure we provide the best possible gaming experience on Windows Phone.”

It’s unclear what glitches are present that are forcing the two company to evalue the customer experience as the game was expected to debut a day after Microsoft is expected to preview its upcoming enterprise features through the Mango software update for the platform.

In early February, Microsoft had ruffled some of Rovio’s feathers and created an angry Rovio when the former company showed a mock-up of a Windows Phone 7 device with an Angry Birds icon when the game wasn’t yet announced for the platform.
