Motorola Droid X2 Hands On Video – Compared to HTC ThunderBolt [Verizon]

Posted by | 05/20/2011 | 6 Comments

The Motorola Droid X2 is another anticipated sequel for Verizon Wireless. The Droid X2 delivers a fast 1GHz Dual Core Nvidia processor and a beautiful qHD Display for $200. The biggest weakness is a lack of 4G, but even without the higher speed uploads and downloads, it is an impressive looking phone. Verizon just sent one over and we have a first look at the Droid X2 including a side by side screen comparison with the HTC ThunderBolt.

Droid X2 Hands On Video and ThunderBolt Comparison:

So far we have only had the Motorola Droid X2 for an hour or two, but we can say that the display really stands out. We’ll give you a side by side with an iPhone 4 Retina Display next week, but we already wish our daily driver, the HTC ThunderBolt, had a qHD display. In case you are wondering, there are versions of the Netflix APK floating around that will work on the Droid X2.

Droid X2 Mini Review

We’ll be digging into the Motorola Droid X2 and testing it out more over the coming week, but we couldn’t wait to share our first impressions of the Droid X2. If you have specific questions, leave a note in the comments below and we’ll try to answer them.

Motorola Droid X2 Pricing:

The Droid X2 is available at Verizon for $199 and at Wirefly for $149.99.

Got mine yesterday and it is a great improvement over Droid x

Love the pixel count display. All the fonts are razor sharp which shows on zooming out on excel spreadsheets.

Love the processor speed. Nothing seems to slow it down.

Also could use all my droidx accessories.

    The details surely buzz excitement
and curiosity equally, I think with the dual core processor its quiet possible
to have a power packed action from the droid 3. However, the device not being a
part of Verizon’s LTE network that is known to the world for its blazing fast
speeds and with a more than expected results of 5-10 Mbps on the downlink side
and between 2 and 5 Mbps on the uplink side.

    I don’t care if the Droid 2 is 3g or 4g.  I care that the 4g
phones they have are garbage.  And if they aren’t concerned with losing
me as a customer that’s fine because if the 4g phones are still garbage
when my contract is up I’m gone anyways.http://www.technorotic.com/2011/05/motorola-droid-x2-verizon%E2%80%99s-first-dual-core-smartphone-hands-on/
