In a down economy, we’ve seen ‘will work for food’ signs in the U.S., but a girl in China is taking it to another extreme. The 18 year old was reported as having offered her virginity to acquire an iPhone 4 on a micro-blogging service called Weibo. The message has since been removed, and it’s unclear if the transaction has been consummated, but it does show Apple’s influence over society and culture with its iconic products, taking ‘lust-worthy’ to new levels.
This isn’t the first extreme act to obtain an iOS product as a boy was reported in the past as having sold his kidney to obtain an iPad 2, a decision in which he later regrets.
