Students Get a Month of Hulu Plus Free with .edu Address

Published

on

Hulu PlusHulu Plus brings the shows you love from your notebook to your tablets, smartphones and HDTVs for $7.99 a month. The recent expansion to Android phones may leave you wanting to test out the service, but perhaps you’re not ready to pay $7.99 a month for the service, which includes commercials. If that’s the case and you have a .edu address you’ll be happy to know that you can get a free 1 month trial.

To get your free Hulu Plus one month trial, just head over to the Hulu Plus signup page and use your .edu email address to sign up. If you have already received a free trial from Hulu you won’t be able to cash in on this trial, but most students can get around this limitation.

Why would you want to get a second free trial? The biggest reason we can think of, and the reason we are willing to give Hulu Plus another shot is the new HTC Thunderbolt Hulu app, which finally gives us a reason to try out 4G for something other than tethering.

Hulu is a TV and Movie streaming service which offers free online viewing from your computer, but requires a premium plan to stream from your smartphone, HDTV or tablet. The service includes many hot shows, but not all shows can be watched on Hulu Plus due to content owner preferences. Even with the subscription you will see commercials, which has kept some users from signing up.

If you want a second trial from Hulu, use a different email address and when you enter your payment options you should use a different credit card and address. For students, who normally have a school and home address, this shouldn’t be an issue. We wouldn’t recommend doing this more than once, and it’s certainly not worth it for current subscribers.

If you aren’t able to sign up with your .edu address, you can still get a free month from Hulu Plus by linking your Facebook account to Hulu Plus. This deal is open to new and current Hulu Plus subscribers, but you should know it will post everything you watch to your Facebook wall. You can change these settings on Facebook or unlink the account after you get your free month set up.

Wow! Its great to get one month free trial. Actually I want it try but paying $7.99 just for trial is expensive. If I found it good in trial then its ok to pay.
