Verizon’s Next Big 4G LTE Roll Out Gets Detailed

Verizon is planning a massive roll out of 4G LTE goodness on July 21st and it has finally spilled the beans on exactly who will be seeing the service and where when Big Red flips the switch on in 28 new markets and expands in eight others.

Verizon 4G LTE

So, you’re probably wondering how this all breaks down, so here is the breakdown. The new markets that will be seeing 4G LTE on the 21st include:

Decatur and Huntsville, Ala.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Lakeland and Sarasota-Bradenton, Fla.; Augusta, Ga.; Hilo, Honolulu, Kahului-Wailuku and Lahaina, Hawaii; Carbondale, Ill.; Wichita, Kan.; Louisville, Ky.; Baton Rouge and Hammond, La.; Springfield, Mass.; Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High Point and Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Toledo, Ohio; Tulsa, Okla.; Portland, Ore.; Wilkes Barre/Scranton, Pa.; Charleston, S.C.; Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tenn.; Olympia and Tacoma, Wash; and Charleston, W.Va.

And the cities that Verizon will be expanding service in include:

Phoenix, Ariz.; Los Angeles and San Diego, Calif.; Las Vegas, Nev.; Northern New Jersey;  Dallas-Ft. Worth and San Antonio, Texas; and Seattle, Wash.

So, we have some big cities that are getting blanketed in sweet 4G LTE and we have some others that are getting more coverage. That’s pretty kind of Verizon especially with the first 4G LTE smartphone worth considering on the way.

There are reports that some of these cities are already seeing 4G up and running so if you by chance own a 4G LTE device and call one of these cities home, then you might want to go ahead see if you’re finally covered.
