Tim Cook, Apple’s new CEO will take the stage on October 4th to announce the latest iPhone. Apple will likely announce a new iPhone, called the iPhone 5 and a cheaper iPhone 4 with 8GB of memory.

At this point we are pretty certain that Apple will announce a new iPhone for Sprint, AT&T and Verizon. This new iPhone may be available in sizes up to 64GB. The new iPhone is rumored to have a teardrop shaped design, dual Core Apple A5 processor, more RAM and a larger display.

The iPhone 5 release date will be on or near October 13th according to recent reports. This launch date puts Apple in a good place for the holiday shopping season.

The iPhone 5 will run iOS 5, a new version of Apple’s iPhone and iPad software, which brings over 200 new features to new and current iPhones. iOS 5 may come with a special Assistant feature on the iPhone 5. Leaks suggest that the Assistant feature will allow you to speak normally to your iPhone 5 and it will turn those requests into actions.
