Verizon Phones On Sale for a Penny at Amazon, Including Droid Bionic

Adam Mills —  10/12/2011

Have you been looking for a smartphone on Verizon not called the iPhone 4S or Samsung Galaxy Nexus? Well, then I think you’re going to be at least tempted by the deal that Amazon has going on right now on Verizon’s devices.

Amazon is going to be hosting The Penny Pincher Deal, a deal that starts today and ends on October 17th. During that time, all Verizon phones and mobile broadband devices are a penny.

Tablets are not included in the deal and you’ll have to sign up for a new two-year contract in order to get a hold of a phone at that price. In addition, it’s only available to new customers. Existing customers are left out in the cold.

Droid Bionic

The good news is that the Motorola Droid Bionic, the first dual-core 4G LTE smartphone, is included in the offer making this the cheapest price that we’ve seen thus far.

You’ll also get free two day shipping.

Sound like a deal to you? Then head on over to Amazon’s website, you can do that here, and take a look at the 31 different phones that are available for just $.01. And remember, you only have until Monday to decide.

  1. pfft…of course the Bionic is 1¢. look at new phones coming.

considering the long list of Bionic bugs and Motorola delays with addressing them, I’ll gladly keep waiting for something better. (iPhone 4s is not it either).

  2. It is frustrating that they don’t give the deal to current Verizon customers….

    • if you’re up for upgrade, you should get it.

      • “up for upgrade” meaning annual upgrade eligible or new-every-two? When I go there, select a phone, and select my account status, it shows regular price. I haven’t gone through the steps to enter my info though, so I wondering if that could change once I get into the checkout process.

        • TWO year contract price. existing or new customers

        • I realize that I would need a renew a two-year contract. That isn’t the question. The question refers to phone upgrade and the policy isn’t clear, at least to me.

  3. The Bionic is $249.99, not 0.01.  This is the same price from Verizon if you have a $50 credit.  There are some really good deals though since most of them are in fact 0.01!

Bryan K, the Bionic was .01 as well.  Want to buy two phones for a family plan…?  .02 cents.  New customer or adding a new line on an existing plan, it’s one penny.
