Android 4.0 Update Confirmed for HTC EVO 3D, Rezound, Sensation

It was only a matter of time before manufacturers started confirming the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for more than just a few phones and sure enough HTC has come onto the scene confirming the update for a multitude of phones while suspicions leaving some devices out of the announcement.

In a lengthy Facebook post, HTC confirmed that the HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XL, HTC Sensation XE, HTC Rezound, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G, and HTC Amaze 4G would all be seeing the update to Android 4.0.

The HTC Vivid, one of AT&T’s first 4G LTE smartphones, will also be seeing the upgrade.

While this is great for those of you that own these phones, it’s probably disappointing for those of you who own devices that aren’t on this list. Devices like the HTC EVO 4G and the HTC ThunderBolt.

Well, don’t get down just yet. HTC hasn’t said any of the phones not listed here will not be getting Android 4.0 so stay optimistic.

    When???? My EVO 3D isn’t letting me download some updates. That’s even after I make room for them. It just stays in a limbo space for halfhour and then says error . Will this update help????

    it’s NOT OUT YET, jesus, be patient. T’mobile still has to re-brand the software to their standards. I’m going to be waiting even longer for the rooted version with none of the bull included..

      StiiiiiiLL Waaaaaaiiiiiittttiiiiiing HTC/Sprint! Oh, and may I ask if my EVO 3D is still supposed to be running 2.3.4? My Old EVO 4G has 2.3.5. ???

    My EVO 3D still running 2.3.4! My old EVO 4G has 2.3.5. Is this because of the model of phone? Or is my 3D just outdated?
