Samsung Galaxy Nexus to Come with LED Notification Light

By  |  2 Comments

Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus, unlike some of the company’s previous flagship smartphones, will come with a useful LED notification light that will light up and blink when there’s a new message or alert awaiting your attention. From the short video, it seems that LED notification light is placed towards the bottom center of the device, and reminds me of the notification light placement on the bottom gesture area on Palm’s line of Pre hardware.

Though Android comes with a notification drawer that displays all incoming notifications, having an LED notification light would be useful to users as users would not have to turn on, and unlock their phones, to see if they have any incoming alerts.

Wasn’t the LED notification discussed during the initial introduction and nearly all the previews a few weeks ago?
