iPhone Launch 5 Year Anniversary

It seems like the iPhone is still a pretty new device, but today marks the 5th anniversary of the iPhone announcement.

Back in 2007 Steve Jobs took the stage to show off a new vision for the way we used our phones, showing off the iPhone.

When the iPhone was announced it came in 4GB or 8GB sizes, only supported a few stock apps like Safari, Mail and Maps, with no access to an app store. At this point the Angry Birds eggs were but a glimmer in some disgruntled bird’s eyes.

When the iPhone was announced, we saw many detractors, including Steve Ballmer, who asked who would buy such an expensive phone, as you can witness in the video below.
