iPhoto for iPad and iPhone Now Available

Published

on

Apple just released the new iPhoto to the iTunes store. You can download it for $4.99 in the iTunes store.

I shared the details of the new iPhoto app earlier. iPhoto lets you touch up photos using multitouch. You can selectively edit things with the new brushes and post them online.

To use iPhoto for iPhone and iPad you will need to upgrade your iPhone and iPad to iOS 5.1. Users are struggling to download the iOS 5.1 update, which means you may need to wait until tomorrow to try our iPhoto.

If you have a jailbroken iPhone you will need to un-jailbreak it if you want to install iPhoto, or wait for the jailbreak to come to iOS 5.1.

Photo Journals looks like nice new feature in iPhoto that could give collage apps and digital scrapbook apps some competition. The tool lets you create some cool photo galleries of your pictures. For example, if you have a bunch of photos from our kid’s soccer game, you can put them together in a in a nice journal.

Think scrapbooks for the 21st century. You can add captions, dates, and even weather information.

I’m looking forward to testing it out and will post a full overview once I get my hands it.
