The HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE from Verizon is finally official, and it looks a lot like the HTC One S.
The HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE looks just like the phone showed in the accidental teaser page a few weeks ago, which is to say a HTC One S with a modified design. The phone has the same specs as the One S including a 4-inch 960×540 Super LCD display and dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU (the same as the U.S. version of the HTC One X).
Like the One S and One X the Incredible 4G LTE has an 8MP rear-facing camera with HTC’s Image Sense technology. The modified camera apps lets users shoot 1080p video and take photos at the same time. The camera app also gives users a burst mode option as well as a number of Instagram-esque filters.
Verizon hasn’t yet announced a price or release date for the Incredible 4G LTE, saying only that it will be available in “the coming weeks.” The teaser page that went live for a few minutes said the phone would sell for $299.99, but that seems steep for the Incredible 4G LTE. Its bigger sibling, the One X sells for just $199 on AT&T, which is closer to what we’d expect for this phone. T-Mobile sells a less modified One S for $199.
With the Droid Incredible 4G LTE, HTC now officially has a One variant on every major U.S. carrier. Verizon and Sprint won’t use the One branding on their phones, but the carrier’s versions are just different shells for the One S and One X, respectively. With Samsung’s new Galaxy S III not wooing everyone, HTC has a chance to sell more of its fantastic One lineup, as long as the company markets the new phones.
