Galaxy Nexus Accessories Now Available Through Google Play Store

In addition to the unlocked Samsung Galaxy Nexus itself, Google is now selling Galaxy Nexus accessories directly from its Google Play Store.

In a Google+ post, the company confirmed that it now is selling Galaxy Nexus accessories for the HSPA+ model to U.S. customers through its online Google Play Store.

Earlier this year, the company began selling the unlocked Galaxy Nexus directly to customers in the United States for $399.

The accessories currently available on the Google Play Store include the Galaxy Nexus Vehicle Dock for $54.00, the HDMI Portrait Desktop Dock for $49.00 and the Desktop Dock with Pogo Pin for a cool $54.00.

Again, none of these are for Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus which is the 4G LTE model. That model is different from the device that Google is selling in the Google Play Store and these accessories aren’t suitable for it.

This also means that the wait for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus car dock, something that owners have been pining for for quite some time, continues on.

Of course, this should only be the start for the Google Play Store. The company is rumored to be adding tablets to its online marketplace sometime later this year, beginning with the Asus Nexus tablet.

That tablet is expected to be announced at Google I/O in June and released with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in July for around $199.

Samsung is also rumored to be producing a Nexus-tablet for the store.

In addition, Google is rumored to be launching and directly selling five Nexus devices from five different manufacturers later on this year. The company has been rumored to be releasing those devices on November 5th to honor the fifth anniversary of Android.
