Samsung Galaxy S III Arrives on T-Mobile on June 21
T-Mobile customers can pick up the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone on June 21st online and in select retail locations.
The Galaxy S III is the latest Samsung smartphone headed to the U.S. with a collection of software features Samsung claims makes the device easier to use.
The T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III release date syncs up with expected availability on all Major U.S. carriers. T-Mobile has not announced pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S III, though we expect that it will start at $199.
T-Mobile will offer the Marble Blue Samsung Galaxy S III, but there is no mention of the white Galaxy S III.
The T-Mobile Galaxy S III runs on T-Mobile’s HSPA+42 network, which is faster than 3G, but slower than the 4G LTE networks from Verizon, AT&T and soon Sprint.
The Samsung Galaxy S III uses a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor and comes with 2GB of RAM. The U.S. version of the Galaxy S III is not available with the Exynos processor, or in a 64GB version.
The Galaxy S III has a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display and run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
On the rear of the Galaxy S III is a 8-MegaPixel camera capable of shooting 20 photos in burst mode and picking the best shot to display. The 1.9MP front facing camera looks perfect for Google Hangouts and video chat.
Samsung focuses on the software side fo the Galaxy S III with a number of features the company claims enhance and enrich the user experience. S-Voice is a Siri competitor capable of answering simple questions and controlling the phone. The new Motion gestures and eye tracking technology allow users to control the phone by picking up or turning the device and prevent the display from sleeping while in use.
