AT&T Galaxy S III Now Available

After a delay, the Samsung Galaxy S III is finally available on AT&T’s 4G LTE network.

Today is July 6th and that means that AT&T has made the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S III available to consumers who did not place a pre-order.

The device is now available in both physical retail locations as well as in AT&T’s online store. And it is in those places that consumers can find AT&T’s version of the Galaxy S III which comes in 16GB form only.

The Galaxy S III has arrived on AT&T.

Unlike Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon, AT&T will only offer the 16GB model Samsung Galaxy S III. It will, however, offer a microSD card slot that users can buy to add additional storage space.

AT&T will also be the only carrier, as far as we know, that will offer a red version of the Galaxy S III. We still don’t know when the red version of the Galaxy S III will launch but we expect it to arrive sometime this summer.

The AT&T Galaxy S III release date comes after the device was delayed beyond June, when many expected AT&T to launch the Android-powered smartphone.

The delay was due to supply issues that have plagued Samsung and which prevented a smooth launch in the United States and Canada.

All four major U.S. carriers were faced with supply issues due to the overwhelming demand for the Galaxy S III.

According to Reuters, Samsung is expecting to ship 19 million Galaxy S III smartphones this quarter and in turn, announce some major numbers when its Q3 fiscal results become public.

The Samsung Galaxy S III uses a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor and comes with 2GB of RAM. The U.S. version of the Galaxy S III is not available with the Exynos processor, or in a 64GB version.

The Galaxy S III also features a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display and run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. AT&T’s model runs on the carrier’s 4G LTE network which means it can pull down data speeds that can reach up to 10 times faster that those found on normal 3G.

Was highly considering HTC One X… Then, finally checked SGS3 out in person at a local AT&T store yesterday. WOW!!!!!!!! Samsung GS3 looks much better in person than in pictures… Made all others phones look like they are from last decade or something… Large beautiful screen, the light and very thin (probably the third of the chunky iPhone that every likes to compare with) yet very expensive and comfortable feel in the hand (I have a fairly small hand)… just to name a few… Can’t even compare to the iPhone and Motorola Razr I have recently replaced/returned… For only $199, it’s a steal for sure… Trying to see if I could get a phone upgrade before my contract expires… Go and try out yourself. Otherwise, you are missing out a lot if go just by what others are saying or telling you which is often outright twisted and biased…
