Rovio’s Amazing Alex Puzzler Comes to iPhone and Android July 12

Rovio’s next game, Amazing Alex, is about to hit the iOS App Store and Google Play Store this Thursday, July 12.

The release date comes at the end of a new trailer for the game which shows off the Rube Goldberg machines players will use to solve physics puzzles in the game. The trailer says the game will feature more than 100 puzzles to solve, and will have free updates, just like the Angry Birds titles.

Amazing Alex actually comes from developers Snappy Touch and Mystery Coconut which created the game Casey’s Contraptions. Rovio since bought the IP and changed the title to another alliterative name. The game puzzles look similar, though we imagine Rovio helped to create some new levels for the new games.

While players wait for Rovio to release new levels they can keep themselves occupied by creating their own puzzles. Users can then share those puzzles with others online, so they’ll never be out of puzzles to solve.

Like Angry Birds titles Amazing Alex will arrive on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store at the same time. Rovio promises the game will come to other platforms later, though it doesn’t specify which ones. We assume the game will come to PC and Mac sometime soon.

A Windows Phone release would be nice, too. Microsoft’s mobile platform still lacks an Angry Birds Space port, however, so we’re not sure if Amazing Alex will make it to the platform in a timely manner, if at all.

Hello, my name is Julian Solonoski and I have recently created AmazingAlexCentral.com a fan site for the upcoming Rovio puzzle game, Amazing Alex.

The aim of the site will be to provide people with a community for the game and to find walkthroughs, discuss strategies, share high scores and various level creations.

In return for mentioning or running a story on the website, I would put a link to Gotta Be Mobile in the partners section of Amazing Alex Central. I would have liked to send this via email from the contact form, although it seems to be not working at the moment.

I look forward to speaking with you soon!

    Sincerely,

    Julian Solonoski

Looks like The Incredible Machine, which I loved. This should be good.
