Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Release Date Close?

Published

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 release date might finally be close after the device showed up today in a new commercial touting all of the benefits of the larger Galaxy Note tablet.

A user on Reddit has discovered the Galaxy Note 10.1 commercial which depicts the tablet that was originally announced at Mobile World Congress in February but has yet to launch in the United States.

The commercial is fairly well-done and depicts many of the features that will be coming with the Galaxy Note 10.1 once it finally arrives.

We see the stylus pen in action, one of the main features of the Galaxy Note 10.1 and we also see the device’s larger 10.1-inch display, something that separates it from the regular Galaxy Note which only sports a 5.3-inch screen.

The focus of the commercial is on the business-type who could use it for entrepreneurial purposes.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 release date could be close.

So now that a commercial has hit the airwaves, Samsung might finally be announcing something in the near future. After all, it has been nearly half a year since the Galaxy Note 10.1 was announced.

The reason for the delay of the device remains unclear.

It was originally announced with a dual-core processor, but the Galaxy Note 10.1 should be arriving with a quad-core Exynos processor. Samsung has also apparently added a nice little pen holder for the Galaxy Note’s 10.1 stylus.

Both of those enhancements are thought to be the reason why Samsung has taken so long to release the device but the company has not confirmed that detail.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 has shown up on retail sites before, including Amazon and J&R, but those listings have both been taken down as they were posted prematurely.

Samsung does have an event coming up on August 15th that could be a launching pad for the Galaxy Note 10.1 here in the United States but that event has also been rumored to be a Galaxy Note 2 launch event so it’s unclear if one or both of the devices will be announced.
