The iPhone 5 release date has again been rumored for September 21st.

PhoneArena is reporting that they have heard that the iPhone 5 release date is September 21st, a date that has already surfaced once in the past. The original rumor was based off of alleged information from a case supplier in China and this new rumor apparently comes from someone who works in the retail industry in the United States.

This rumored September 21st release date would likely mean that Apple would announce the iPhone 5 earlier in the month of September.

While many believe that Apple will indeed stay on course and announce and then release the iPhone 5 in October, September has popped up several times as a potential launch month for the device. Fueling the rumors is the fact that Apple might be trying to appease Wall Street with an early iPhone 5 launch.

The iPhone 5 release date could be September 21st.

The theory is that it could release the iPhone 5 in September in an effort to boost iPhone sales and revenue before the end of the fiscal year on September 29th 2012.

As for the software that will be powering the iPhone 5, iOS 6, we have yet to hear of any release date. We imagine that it will roll out sometime before the launch of the iPhone 5 which means that if this September 21st release date is true, it could come in the middle of September.
