Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Launch Date Again Pegged for August 15th

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 launch date has once again been pegged for August 15th.

We had heard that Samsung might be announcing its new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 at a big event in the United States on August 15th and another report has chimed in to say that that is going to be the case.

Netzwelt.de, courtesy of SamMobile, is reporting that the Galaxy Note 2 will indeed be shown off at an August 15th event only that event will pertain to the model headed to the United States.

The report claims that Samsung will show off a European model of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 2 at an event at IFA which is scheduled to kick off at the end of August in Berlin.

This could explain why we have heard several Galaxy Note 2 launch dates. We had originally heard that the Note 2 would arrive on either August 30th or August 31st, prior to the announcement of an August 15th event.

The Galaxy Note 2 looks good for a August 15th launch.

However, it appears that Samsung is going to announce the device first in the United States and then in Europe, something that it has not done with many of its products.

Samsung has yet to confirm anything for the event and that leaves open the possibility of a launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 as well. The device, originally announced in February, has yet to launch in the United States and it could very well get announced or at least join the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on August 15th.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Rumors

We still don’t know exactly what’s in store for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 as Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything. However, we do have a pretty good idea about what to expect from the Galaxy Note 2.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is rumored to have a 5.5-inch display with 1280×720 resolution which means that it will be both better and bigger than the screen found on the previous Galaxy Note.

Current rumors also say the smartphone will use a quad-core Exynos processor with 1.5GB of RAM. We assume that it will have 4G LTE on board as well so it could be the first device to feature both capabilities.

It’s also rumored to have Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board though it could have Android 4.1 Jelly Bean instead. It’s also said to boast a 12MP or 13MP rear camera, a vast improvement over the original.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has also been rumored to have a design similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S III.

If the resolution is 1280×720 in a 5.5-inch display – then it will have a WORSE ppi than the original

I’m with AT&T and I’m HOPING that Verizon will have this phone so I can join Verizon. But when it comes down to it, if AT&T gets this phone first, I want the phone bad enough to over look the horrible service when ever I travel… Maybe.
