The Samsung Galaxy S III already runs pretty smoothly, but a simple tweak can speed things up, making the user interface respond quicker to user input.
The tweak might seem like a placebo effect and it’s hard to really judge with objective standards, but I think it speeds up the Galaxy S III

This tweak should work on any of the variant models from Verizon, Sprint, AT&T or the International models.
The tweak comes thanks to the geniuses at the XDA Developer’s Forum and anyone can use it, whether their phone’s rooted or not.

How to Speed Up the Galaxy S III
Follow these steps:
- Open Settings
- Open Developer options (second from the bottom)
- In the User interface section, choose Window animation scale
- Select one of the options lower than the default like .5x or 0
- Select Transition animation scale and again choose an option lower than the default like .5x or 0
For both options I chose .5x and experienced a noticeable difference in speed.
This changes the animation of windows and transitions, resulting in faster movement as one taps on the various user interface icons or swipes the screen.
