Samsung Galaxy Note Getting Massive Premium Suite Software Update Along With Android 4.1
Samsung really knows how to roll out software update and the leading Android device-maker is showing the world how it’s done on the company’s original Galaxy Note phablet. The 5.3-inch phablet will be getting a Premium Suite update alongside Android 4.1 that brings with it many of the coveted features that originally debuted on the Galaxy Note 2, including features like the Multi-Window View that allows users to run two apps simultaneously side by side.
Other features that are part of the Premium Suite include the pop up browser, pop up video player, and pop up note, that allows users to browse webpages, view videos, and create S Notes while juggling another task in a larger main window. These enhancements bring a more desktop-like user experience with windows and multiple windows to a smaller, pocketable form factor.
Along with the Premium Suite, Samsung will also be deploying Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to the 5.3-inch Galaxy Note phablet according to Engadget.
These updates, in the U.S., would likely roll out via Samsung’s carrier partners. In the States, the Galaxy Note was available on T-Mobile USA and AT&T Mobility. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out when and if these carriers roll out Samsung’s planned software upgrades to this aging device. Kudos to Samsung for keeping up with support on this handset, especially since the Galaxy Note II has been out for some time now.
