The Nexus 7 dock is finally on sale in the U.S. at ExcaliburPC, which lists the official dock for sale at $39.99.

Excalibur PC previously listed the Nexus 7 dock as pre-order with an estimated ship date fo January 6th. As of this morning, Excalibur PC is taking orders for the Nexus 7 dock and says the dock is in stock.

B&H Photo also lists the Nexus 7 dock online, but is not taking orders. The product pages states a January 18th availability date.

Nexus 7 dock on sale in the US

The Nexus 7 dock is finally on sale in the U.S.

The U.S. ASUS store doesn’t list the Nexus 7 dock for sale, though the main ASUS site lists product information. The Google Play Store doesn’t list the Nexus 7 dock under accessories, so shoppers will likely need to look to third-party retailers.

The $40 dock provides a landscape docking solution for the Nexus 7 tablet, charging the Android tablet using the four pins on the side of the device and providing audio out via a 3.5mm jack in the back, sound is transmitted over the pins.

There is no video connectivity option for the dock, so users cannot use this to play Google Play Store content on a bigger screen. Most Nexus 7 cases will make the device too bulky to fit in the Nexus 7 dock.

The Nexus 7 dock went on sale at the official UK ASUS shop earlier this week and sold out within a day according to Android Central.

Like nearly every Google product these days the start of the Nexus 7 dock sale was bumpy with product pages not loading correctly for all users. The Nexus 7 dock product page is now available, but lists the dock as out of stock. The UK ASUS store charges £24.99 for the dock, about $40 USD.

Given the popularity of the Nexus 7 tablet, and the lack of official accessories or third-party docks, the Nexus 7 dock could sell out quickly in the U.S. as well.

The Nexus 7 dock is available at ExcaliburPC for $39.99 with shipping starting at $7.
