In the build up to the Samsung Galaxy S4 launch date, Samsung has been teasing the the announcement through images and video. However, none of the previous teases had revealed anything about the device itself. That is, until tonight when Samsung released an image that appears to show off the real Samsung Galaxy S4 for the first time.
On March 14th, Samsung will take over the Radio City Music Hall to unveil the Next Big Thing, thought to be the Samsung Galaxy S4, successor to the Galaxy S3. Samsung has not yet confirmed the device for launch but given its teasers and the rumors surrounding the event, it’s clear that it will be for the Samsung Galaxy S4.
And while the Galaxy S4 has been rumored many times over the last few months, the device itself had seemingly not emerged. That is, until earlier today when a credible leak surfaced purportedly showing off the real Samsung Galaxy S4. However, because the leak did not come from Samsung itself, there is still a possibility that those photos depicting something other than the Galaxy S4.
On the heels of that leak comes another Samsung teaser from its Facebook account which appears to show a smartphone, with the Samsung logo, which could very well be the Samsung Galaxy S4.
The device in the photo appears to be similar to the device that leaked out earlier today, seen above, and it shows a device with a design similar to the Galaxy S3 complete with curves and what looks like a near edge-to-edge display.
The rest of the device remains firmly in the shadows leaving it to the imagination. It’s unclear if this is the actual Samsung Galaxy S4 or if it’s just smoke and mirrors from Samsung’s end. The company has been known to keep the Galaxy S designs under lock and key so it’s a little surprising to see the company showcase what appears to be the design of its flagship smartphone.
All will be revealed at the company’s launch event this Thursday when the company shows off the Samsung Galaxy S4, in full, at its launch event in New York.
Samsung’s new Galaxy S smartphone is expected to feature high-end hardware to compliment not only Android 4.2 Jelly Bean but Samsung’s new TouchWiz software.
The Galaxy S4 is rumored to have a 4.99-inch 1080p display, a quad-core processor, 13MP camera, an assortment of smart software features including one that will allow users to use their eyes to scroll the screen, and a release on both AT&T and Verizon at the very least.
