It comes with a large 5-inch 1080p full HD display, quad-core processor, 13MP camera, 2,600 mAh battery which is removable, and a design that looks quite a bit like the Samsung Galaxy S3 that arrived last year. And while hardware and specifications are important, the big thing that consumers have been wondering about is when they can get a hold of the Galaxy S4 online and in stores.

Samsung announced today, confirming previous rumors, that the Galaxy S4 would start rolling out to carriers at the end of April. Samsung has not yet confirmed any of the carriers but already we’ve heard from a few that say they will have it at some point in the future. They include Three UK, EE in the UK and Ting, a MVNO that uses Sprint.

The company did say that the device will be arriving for a grand total of 327 carriers in 55 countries around the world meaning that most big name carriers will likely be on board.

The Galaxy S4 will sport 4G LTE, which means that it will have fast data speeds in the U.S.

AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless will all be getting the Samsung Galaxy S4 with Sprint confirming the release for sometime in the second quarter of this year. The second quarter consists of April, May and June.

What’s more is that Samsung has promised the device with 4G LTE data speeds which means that it will be coming with faster data speeds than typical 3G data speeds.

We’ve heard that the U.S. may not get the Galaxy S4 until May or June and given the end of April release date for the device, it’s certainly possible that that’s the timing that consumers will have to deal with.

  1. Looks great, can’t wait to get my hands on one and replace my S2 – didn’t here him mention anything on the processor spec though and it wasn’t on the list at the end! oh and what the hell is English with a British accent?! I am english, I speak english and I don’t have an accent. Its Americans that have the accent!!

  2. It’s total BS that the US probably has to wait until June to get this (with a mid-March event). Why is Apple still the only one that gets this right!!? This should be on US store shelves in early April. It’s just unbelievable that Samsung can’t properly launch a phone! Shameful BS!

  3. Here’s to Verizon releasing it DEAD LAST, with the worst specs possible, and slapping that ugly logo on the front AND back of the device.

  4. In response to Samsung’s new Galaxy S IV, Apple is working on a “Thought” phone feature. You can operate the iPhone simply by making thought commands. However, not to be outdone, Samsung will unveil some time this Fall a “Wish” phone. Called the “Alladin,” it will grant the user only 3 wishes, then you’ll need to buy a new one. Ah ha! It also knows that you’re thinking. Unfortunately, you can’t wish for a new one. That feature is only available with a 5 year contact.

  5. This sucks.. My contract is over on May 4th and I will be switching carriers. I will have to settle for the GS3 because Samsung decided the US should wait longer..

    • Seriously Boolshet? Your contract ends in May, and you will not wait into June to get this phone? I guess you deserve only the GS3 if you can’t wait a month for something so much better.
This is how children act. How old are you anyway?

    • The octa core processor is for international versions. The US version is a quad core Qualcomm snapdragon
