Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Arrival Inches Closer
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, which has been confirmed for launch by Samsung after the Samsung Galaxy S4, has inched closer to arrival today as the device’s presumed model number has appeared on Samsung’s website in the form of a user string agent, revealing several of its already rumored specifications.
The talk of the town for the past four months has been the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S4, a device that will replace the popular Galaxy S3, and one that is scheduled to touch down in the United States, and elsewhere, in just a couple of days. However, the Galaxy S4 isn’t the only Galaxy S4 branded smartphone that Samsung has up its sleeve. In fact, the company has already confirmed another Galaxy S4 for arrival.
That Galaxy S4 of course is the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, a smaller version of the Galaxy S4, and one that will likely replace the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini which arrived in the United States (under different names) and other regions last year. While Samsung has confirmed the device’s existence, it hasn’t revealed what’s on board or a release date but thanks to leaks and rumors, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect.
The latest Galaxy S4 Mini leak comes in the form of a user string agent that was first discovered by Dutch site, TechTastic. The user string agent is for a Samsung device called the GT I-9190, the presumed model number of the Galaxy S4 Mini. The user string agent is not an indication of an imminent launch, but it does mean that Samsung is preparing the device for arrival.
It also reveals some specifications including a processor based on ARM 11 architecture and a qHD display which means 960 x 540 resolution.
Previous Galaxy S4 Mini rumors have suggested that it has a 4.3-inch display with a 960 x 540 resolution, 8MP camera, Android 4.2.2 with TouchWiz Nature UX, and quite possibly, a quad-core processor, potentially of the Exynos variety.
Samsung is purportedly gearing up for a release in late May or early June, after the Galaxy S4 has arrived. No specific dates have been mentioned yet and Samsung itself has not confirmed anything.
