Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Photos Show Large Screen, Not Much Else

More alleged photos of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 have emerged today and while they may indeed show a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 prototype, they don’t reveal much in regards to the actual Galaxy Note 3 design.

In the build up to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launch, we’ve seen a number of images float to the surface, claiming to be the Galaxy Note 3 or a prototype of the Galaxy Note 3. With Samsung rumored to be announcing the Galaxy Note 3 in September, the leaks have begun to pick up the pace recently and in the last few weeks we’ve seen a number of images rise to the surface.

A previous leak showed a possible Galaxy Note 3 prototype with a very boxy design, something that seems unlikely given how committed Samsung has been to rounded edges on its flagship devices. Today, a similar design has popped up in images that proclaim themselves to be a Galaxy Note 3 prototype in the flesh.

The new photos come from Chinese microblogging site Weibo and they show not only a rectangular looking device but the inside of the device as well. Unfortunately, no internals are revealed and it’s likely that the real design is masked by a casing. Samsung goes to great lengths to keep its designs a secret ahead of launch and managed to keep even the Galaxy S4 design under wraps until much closer to its launch.

The Galaxy Note 3 itself likely won't leak until much closer to September.

What we can make out is a large device with a large screen. This isn’t surprising given that Samsung’s Galaxy Note series always comes with a big footprint and large display. Rumors have suggested that Samsung is testing three screen sizes including a 5.5-inch device, 5.7-inch variant and a 6-inch Galaxy Note 3. A 5.7-inch display is heavily rumored to be on board the new Galaxy Note.

Other specifications are said to include a Exynos 5 Octa and or a Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 13MP camera. The Galaxy Note 3 is said to be landing in early September, ahead of the IFA conference in Berlin, with September 4th rumored to be its launch date.

Photos will likely leak out up until the Galaxy Note 3’s launch event but at this point, it’s clear that the actual Galaxy Note 3 design probably won’t seep to the surface until much closer to September.
