Blue HTC One Appears, Possibly for Verizon

The HTC One is rumored to be coming to Verizon in blue and just ahead of the rumored Verizon HTC One release date, we’re getting our first look at how the HTC One looks in that color.

In early June, HTC and Verizon announced that they would be delivering an HTC One to consumers sometime this summer. It’s now August and the Verizon HTC One release has yet to take place. Fortunately, rumors suggest that the device could be arriving on August 15th, just ahead of the Moto X’ s rumored release date.

Verizon is also rumored to be launching its HTC One in blue and ahead of its launch, the blue HTC One has finally made an appearance in the form of a press image from @evleaks.

This is the first time we’re seeing the official blue HTC One in the flesh and it looks exactly how one might imagine a blue HTC One looking. The design remains intact, it just has a blue hue instead of silver and black, the two original HTC One colors that emerged with the phone all the way back in April of this year.

The blue color is not rumored for any other carriers at this point which could signal an exclusive for Verizon. However, given that we don’t see Verizon branding here, it’s likely that we’ll see this blue HTC One land on some other carriers not called Verizon. If it even comes to Verizon at all.

The Verizon HTC One release remains weeks away.

The Verizon HTC One release is rumored for August 15th.

Verizon’s HTC One is expected to arrive in August with the same 4.7-inch display, Ultrapixel camera, Sense 5 and metal design as the other models on AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint.

It is, however, expected to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint owners are still waiting for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean to arrive though it’s possible that they will get their updates out soon ahead of the Verizon launch.

The Verizon HTC One release will come shortly before a trio of big name launches including Apple’s iPhone 5S, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 and HTC’s One Max which is expected to be heading to Verizon with a metal design and 5.9-inch 1080p display.

Ugh, baby blue, really? Sprint gets cool looking red while we have no details from Verizon other than the possibility they’ll get a baby blue version. If it had been a darker shade it could have been really cool…. And still no official details from Verizon. If Verizon doesn’t have something by August 15th I’m hitting Sprint on August 16th and getting the red One. :P

So we pretty much waited like assholes, to get the same phone as the other carriers, but in a different color? Verizon loves there customers. Lol

  3. Adjrian says

A Verizon associate told me that they would have the HTC one on the 25th of August. he said that is the release date.

  4. Brian says

The week before the 29th a “rumor” will state the htc one on verizon will be rumored to be Sept fill in any date it wont matter. Really htc one on verizon, really, what date?

I’m guessing September 19th, as that’s the last Thursday of the summer technically. (We all know how VZW loves to release their phones on Thursdays).

  5. Maizey says

Looks like September 5 that showed on the display photo earlier might not have been so far off after all although they still have until September 21 to stall – perhaps the HTC one will be old enough news that no one cares anymore.

  6. Hater says

If it has been pushed forward again, I think I will skip and wait for my contract to end and leave VZW (I am eligible for the phone upgrade already). What’s the point if the HTC Max will be out soon – of course VZW will probably hold off on that model for a year after everyone else has it. VZW idiots.

  7. Doug Wylde says

Why the 29th ? You would figure they would want it as far away from Motorola as possible ? VZW just may be shooting themselves in the foot !
