Apple will start to take iPhone 5C pre-orders on September 13th, so users can go online and reserve the iPhone 5C for $99 or $199 on contract.
The iPhone 5S is not available for pre-order but users can order online or in store on September 20th.
The iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S release date will arrive in the U.S., Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore and the UK at the same time.
Apple promises to the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S release dates in other countries soon after. Apple says the iPhone 5S release will hit 100 countries and over 270 carriers by December 2013.
Apple did not announce the iPhone 5S carriers on stage, but is advertising that the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will be available at AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint. U.S. Cellular is talking about the new iPhone, but we are still waiting for the official announcement.
The iPhone 5S release date should drive a lot of traffic to Apple Stores since consumers will not be able to order for release day delivery online. This is in line with Tim Cook’s plan to increase the number of customers who buy an iPhone directly from Apple.
We are waiting to hear more, but typically Radio Shack, Best Buy and other retailers like Walmart will sell a new iPhone.
The iPhone 5S is Apple’s new iPhone with an improved camera and dual LED flash that Appel promises will take better looking photos in low light. The iPhone 5S looks like the iPhone 5, but is now also available in a gold color option. There is no 128GB iPhone 5S option, so the iPhone 5S prices are as follows
- 16GB iPhone 5S – $199 on contract
- 32GB iPhone 5S – $299 on contract
- 64GB iPhone 5S – $399 on contract
Apple did not announce the iPhone 5S off contract pricing yet, but we expect it will be in line with the iPhone 5 at $649 to $849. The iPhone 5C off contract pricing could arrive around $549, but there is no official confirmation yet.
