More than anything else Windows 8.1, the upcoming free update for Windows 8 users, is about fixing the issues that surfaced after Windows 8’s launch last fall. Just like taking away the Start button, Microsoft’s metro-style applications limited the ways users could multitask with multiple applications. For example, Windows 8 only allowed users to open an app once. This meant that users couldn’t edit watch internet video in one window while writing an email in another window. Thankfully, the company has finally gotten around to fixing the issue.

Here’s how to open more than one Internet explorer Window in Windows 8.1 Go to the Start Screen How to Open More than One Internet Explorer Window in Windows 8 (1) Open Internet Explorer. It’s the app represented by the bright blue icon with the ego logo. Depending on your setup the application’s live tile could be bigger or smaller. Then type in the address of the first website you’d like to open. In our case, we’ll leave it on Microsoft’s Bing search engine.     Never noticed this cause I avoid IE like the plauge but WTF MSFT, Windows 3.1 let you open more than 1 browser at a time!
