Users eyeing an Apple’s iPad mini with Retina Display don’t necessarily have to flock to one of America’s four largest wireless carriers for mobile internet compatibility. Starting today, Apple’s latest iPad mini is available to users on U.S. Cellular as well.

The iPad mini with Retina Display began appearing on the carrier’s website today, and buyers can order the tablet in all of its configurations. That includes the device’s Space Gray and White variants. The carrier is also offering the tablet’s full range of storage options.

Users can purchase a device with 16GB of on-board storage for $529, 32GB of on-board storage for $629, 64GB of on-board storage for $729 and 128GB for $829.  All of those prices include a two-year service agreement so that the tablet can connect to U.S. Cellular’s 4G network.

Today’s announcement comes just hours after Apple began allow users to walk into its retail stores and purchase the iPad mini with Retina Display without ordering it first. Until fairly recently, units were very hard to come by, that was particularly true of the device’s mobile internet-equipped variant.

GottaBeMobile found the device to be almost perfect for iPad users from all backgrounds. In fact, we were so impressed with the device that it nabbed our Editor’s Choice award.

In addition to its high-resolution 7.9-inch display, the iPad mini with Retina Display also includes the same Apple A7 processor that the iPhone 5s is equipped with. According to Apple, the A7 processor gives this year’s iPad mini quadruple the amount of processing power. Unfortunately, the iPad mini with Retina Display doesn’t include the iPhone 5s’ Touch ID fingerprint reader.

Each iPad mini with Retina display includes a front-facing FaceTime HD camera and a rear-facing 5 megapixel camera. Each iPad mini with Retina display also comes with iOS 7, Apple’s latest mobile operating system, installed by default.

While U.S. Cellular doesn’t offer it, Apple offers a slightly cheaper version of the iPad mini with Retina display that doesn’t include compatibility with mobile wireless networks. That version starts at $399 for 16GB of storage without a two-year service contract.
