Walmart Black Friday One Hour Guarantee Extended

The Walmart Black Friday One Hour Guarantee is now extended until Wednesday, allowing shoppers who experienced errors registering their Access Code on the Walmart.com/1hourguarantee website this weekend more time to get through.

The Walmart Black Friday 2013 ad included 21 items that the retailer promised would be in stock. If the item sold out, Walmart sold an access code to claim the item online and get it delivered to a local Walmart by Christmas.

This includes a 60-inch HDTV and the iPad mini deal which included a $100 gift card — leaving many shoppers frustrated — but the retailer is making good on the promise with a longer deadline.

Soon after the Walmart Black Friday event ended users complained on Twitter that they could not register for the item online. We reached out to Walmart and the retailer announced this afternoon that it is extending the one hour guarantee to help shoppers out.

In a statement emailed to Gotta Be Mobile, Danit Marquardt, a Walmart spokesperson shared the details,

“We apologize to our customers who have experienced difficulties in redeeming their 1-Hour Guarantee purchases on our website. We have addressed the issues and have extended the online registration period for the 1-Hour Guarantee until 11:59 p.m. Central time on Wednesday, Dec. 4.”

This is a very good move for shoppers who need additional time to register their access code, and it should still mean delivery by Christmas, as was originally guaranteed in the Black Friday ad.

Shoppers will still need to go to the Walmart.com/1hour guarantee website and complete the registration to complete the process and sign up for an in store delivery. If you are registering the Walmart Black Friday iPad mini deal, the following details are important to make sure you get the gift card,

“After you place your iPad order, you will receive several emails. Emails coming from “Walmart.com” ([email protected]) will show status on the order processing for your iPad. Email coming from [email protected] will contain your electronic gift card and will be sent shortly after your iPad has shipped. Please be sure to check your spam folders to make sure you don’t miss these emails!”

The electronic gift card can be used in stores. Shoppers should still try to register as soon as possible to make sure they have adequate time to troubleshoot any issues. Those with any other issues can contact Walmart directly at 1-877-745-0190.

      What the heck. I want my tv. I can’t even register.was this one hour guarantee just a scam to get you to their store? I found myself waiting in line and then told I didn’t have a wristband so it was to late. And this was the only tv I figured I would be getting.

    I can’t even enter the numbers off the receipt, how the heck does this work????? I had already paid by credit card, and it would really upset me if I was unable to register both of the 32in tvs I had bought by the new deadline. What happens if that occurs?????

    I have tried repeatedly. I am unable to enter the access code after many attempts. I have already paid for it by credit card. I do not want a gift card in exchange. I want the 32-inch TV I was promised. I am extremely disappointed.

    I cant get to the site. I got a screen saying ERROR CODE and ‘this site has been moved’…well where the heck did it move to !?? Yep I’m REAL UNHAPPY.

      Could u believe this….?.I too am very dissatisfied, tried to do the same….told site was taken down…..what the hell is this>>>>>>some kinda Black Friday Sale this was….
      I want the 32-inch TV I was promised. I am extremely disappointed.

    I couldn’t enter any codes either. Go to http://www.walmart.com and at the top of the computer screen on the top left states in red 1 hr guarantee redemption EXTENDED to 12/04-11:59. click on it and it will bring you to the screen to be able to put in code. set up an email account first with walmart or you can do it in the middle of the process. it will let you add codes there. you will need your receipt with the access code on it. it does have it on there. and you will need to have the gift card available. rub off card number and code with a coin gently. you will need this to place your order. hopes this helps some one!     I can’t register until last Sunday morning. The original 32′ TV was out and they select an alternative TV for me that I don’t like. If they know the demand of TV are higher than supply, why did they still give away so many 1 hour card?

    I have tried numerous times to get on website to register and receive my 32 inch TV… I even went back up to walmart on yesterday and got a new redemption card and STILL CANT REGISTER on the WEBSITE!!! I am going back to walmart tomorrow December 4th and get my $$ back. I will never shop black Friday at walmart again!

    I have been trying for days now and still can’t get my mini iPad… It says I need mt gift card and the Jennings la store did not give them out!! They said they will ship them to us!!!! Really would like my stuff!!!!

    I tried and can’t get my ipad mini either. Now I was told it’s expired. It’s non-sense that I have been waiting in line for hours and purchased in the walmart store and then it’s expired due to having issue to register online.
    Why should we registe online anyway, should walmart store just order when we purchase during thanksgiving day?

      Quite frankly what walmart did was against the law….false advertisement. While I didn’t purchase from them a friend did. Definitely will never shop there for Christmas again. Spread the word. I am sure there is a way to make them be held responsible for their illegal actions.

    Went to go pick up my 32 in tv today, but they have no record of me purchasing one. I have a 1 hr guarantee card with pin and registered it and even bought the 2 yr extended warranty. it said they would send me the receipt email and ask me were to pick it up and I told them. I was gone from town a week and went to day to pick up the tv and they dont have me anywhere. I never got the email. So what now. They shouldn’t give out these things a card guarantee. it don’t work just let us bring our receipt they know how many tv’s were sold they took our money at that store. This was a big blunder… first and last Black friday.. I’d call it a Black eye…
