Moto X Coming to Europe Next Month
The Moto X is already a huge hit in the US, Canada and Latin America, but Motorola’s flagship phone is now heading across the pond into Europe. According to CNET, the unlocked Moto X will go on sale in the UK for £380, and will hit France and Germany for 399 euros starting on February 1. The phone will also be available on-contract starting at £25 per month in the UK.
The Moto X will follow behind the launch of the Moto G, which is a lower-cost, less powerful device than the Moto X that’s meant for markets outside of the US. The Moto G sells for around £130 in the UK, so consumers will be paying approximately three times that for an off-contract Moto X.
Both the Moto X and Moto G are very similar as far as the cosmetic design is concerned, but the Moto X sports a much better camera and exclusive features on the software end that makes the user interface experience a lot better.
The other nice feature about the Moto X is that it’s customizable through Motorola’s Moto Maker software, which allows buyers to customize the color of the device, as well as add engraving for a more personal feel. While Moto Maker is the most unique aspect of the Moto X, it’s unclear as to whether the customization software will make its way to Europe.

The move to Europe comes after the holiday season where the Moto X saw countless discounts from retailers and Motorola itself, dropping the price of the Moto X down to just $350 off-contract. Furthermore, to ring in the new year, the company permanently dropped the price to $399, allowing anyone to get the unlocked phone for just four Benjamins at any time.
The Moto X will be available in black from Phones 4U, Carphone Warehouse, O2, Amazon and Techdata in the UK, with Phones 4U getting an exclusive on the white model for the first three months of availability. The device will be available in Germany in black and white from Phone House, O2, Amazon.de, Media Markt, Saturn, Expert and Sparhandy.de.
