The long-anticipated Titanfall beta has reached the public, and pretty much anyone with an Xbox One or PC is getting in on the action to see what they can expect when the full game releases later this year. However, Call of Duty: Ghosts is also getting in on the action, discounted to $39.99 on Amazon for a select group of Amazon shoppers.
In what we can only guess to be an effort to try and distract gamers away from the Titanfall beta, Amazon has sent discount promo codes to “valued Amazon.com customers of the Xbox One.” The retailer has sent out these unique codes to gamers who most likely pre-ordered the Xbox One last year in anticipation for the consoles launch in November.
$39.99 isn’t a bad price for the latest installment in the Call of Duty series, but Amazon has the game on sale for $46.99 right now for Xbox One. We’re not sure how long that deal will last, but those with the promo code will only save a measly $7 if they take advantage of it today. Furthermore, the code expires at the end of the month, so you won’t be able to redeem it at a later time.
Titanfall is the talk of the town right now in the gaming community, as the beta was launched over the weekend, with only a select number of folks receiving access. However, after a rough launch, the game was eventually opened up for all gamers who wanted to try it out and get a glimpse of what to expect.
Titanfall officially launches on the Xbox One and Windows PCs on March 11, which is less than a month away, but from what we’ve seen so far, the game should be a massive hit, surely taking the spotlight away from the Call of Duty series.
