A new series of illustrations and an iPhone 6 concept shows what the new iPhone could look like next to the Galaxy S5, HTC One M8, iPhone 5s and the rest of the top smartphones on the market today. In all the iPhone 6 comparison shows how a larger iPhone 6 looks next to 10 of the best smartphones in recent years.

This iPhone 6 concept includes a 4.7-inch display which is the most rumored display size for the main iPhone 6 model. Rumors also suggest Apple is planning a 5.5-inch or larger iPhone 6 model that won’t arrive until later in the year. By combining leaks, analyst notes and rumors a talented individual created an iPhone 6 mockup to compare the size of this new iPhone to other iPhones and Android devices.

Apple iPhone 6 rumors suggest the consumers will see a 4.7-inch device later this year. This is a major jump in screen size for the iPhone which currently offers a 4-inch screen on the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c and a 3.5-inch screen on the iPhone 4s.

This week a video arrived showing how the iPhone 6 size stacks up to the Nexus 5, iPhone 5s and Galaxy Note 3, but the video did not show the rumored device next to all of the smartphones that shoppers are looking at. In this new comparison we see what the iPhone 6 could look like next to 10 of the best smartphones from the last year and a half. Odds are if you are upgrading or recently upgraded you own one of these iPhone or Android devices.

In a new series of iPhone 6 size comparisons deuxani shares a collection of images on the MacRumors forums that potential iPhone 6 buyers need to see.

iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S5 vs HTC One M8

The iPhone 6 is one of the most anticipated phones of 2014, and according to a recent survey it is the “highest level of demand for an unannounced Apple model in a ChangeWave survey,” according to Andy Golub in an interview with Fortune.  The same research firm found that the Galaxy S5 caused a spike in the number of shoppers planning to purchase a Samsung smartphone in the next 90 days to 28% of respondents. This is an all time high for Samsung in a ChangeWave survey.

The iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 are three of the top 7 smartphones for 2014 according to Gotta Be Mobile editor Adam Mills, which makes the following comparison very interesting.

As the illustration shows the iPhone 6 is slightly smaller than the HTC One M8 and the Galaxy S5 thanks to thinner bezels and an overall smaller display. The Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch display and the HTC One M8 a 5-inch display compared to the rumored 4.7-inch display on the iPhone 6.

The Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 are already on the market, but the iPhone 6 is likely months away.

iPhone 6 vs iPhone 5s vs iPhone 4s

For shoppers that plan to upgrade to the iPhone 6 from another iPhone, this is the best comparison to look at. The iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s share the same design so owners of either can look to the left and the iPhone 4s and iPhone 4 share the same design so those owners can look to the right.

In this comparison the iPhone 6 is clearly taller and wider, but thanks to small side bezels it is not obscenely wide. A 4.7-inch display with the same aspect ratio as the iPhone 5 will result in a slightly bigger body.

An iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch display will likely be bigger than the iPhone 5s and iPhone 4s.

For any iPhone owner, this comparison shows one way that Apple could deliver a larger display and how it could compared to the various iPhones that most users will upgrade from.

iPhone 6 vs Nexus 5 vs LG G2

The Nexus 5 is as close to a Google iPhone as users can get with a stock software experience and fast updates, which is why it is very interesting to see how this 5-inch $350 smartphone compares to an iPhone 6 that may come with a higher price. We also get a look at the size of a possible iPhone 6 compared to the LG G2.

While the iPhone 6 design is not final, this comparison and the others above help illustrate just how big an iPhone 6 may be when Apple announces a new phone later this year.

There are more comparisons on the MacRumors forum post including a comparison of the Galaxy S3, HTC One M7,  Moto X and LG G2 Mini. These comparisons show the potential size differences between these smartphones. While the overall size may not be exactly what Apple delivers this fall, it should help device owners make a comparison of the iPhone 6 to the phone they currently own or are thinking of buying.

These comparisons are based off iPhone 6 descriptions from Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities who predicts we will see a 4.7-inch display and a power button shifted to the side. This also aligns with a iPhone 6 case leak from mid-April which points to a new look.

Readers should not the thinner bezels on the sides of the iPhone 6 in this concept, which aligns with Kuo’s predictions. The top and bottom of the iPhone 6 shown above are the same size to keep the symmetry of the top and bottom of the device. Kuo predicts the iPhone 6 will be thinner between 6.5mm and 7mm, compared to 7.6mm for the iPhone 5s.

In terms of iPhone 6 specs, rumors point to an Apple A8 processor, camera improvements that may include optical image stabilization and Touch ID. Rumors also suggest Apple may include NFC support to facilitate mobile payments.

That just looks odd, the iPhone 6 mockup. Its really long and skinny. Its true, Android phones are just as long, but they are also wider, so the proportions look like they should. I really hope this is not what Apple puts out. The iPhone 6, in order to avoid looking odd, should be both longer and wider.
